Hi, I’m Lauren!
Words often used to describe me: warm, empathetic, and a good listener. I am here to hear you and work at your pace towards mental wellbeing. I love to encourage people to embrace their strengths and celebrate their progress. I’m a big fan of flower gardens, podcasts, crochet projects, matcha lattes, and Taylor Swift.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) working with adults in the state of Wisconsin. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD’s). I received my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling with a certificate in Catholic anthropology from the University of Mary.
Before I became a therapist, I graduated from Loras College (Go Duhawks!) with degrees in music and religious studies. I worked as a campus minister for 3 years at a Catholic university and developed a passion for walking with college students through the exciting yet stressful moments of college life.
Growing up in a small town in Iowa, I learned the importance of community and supporting others. Now, I live in Wisconsin with my husband, and I’m learning to expand my community here. I would love to support you in any way I can, whether it’s being your therapist or providing helpful resources. Sign up for a free 15 minute consultation to see if we would be a good fit!
My Approach
I use a person-centered, solutions-focused approach. I am trauma-informed and trained to handle trauma with care. I enjoy using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques in session to better understand the connections between the client’s thoughts, feelings, and actions. Above all, I value the strength of the therapeutic relationship as it is a key factor in making progress towards mental wellness.
